020616 Wines

Another week and another bunch of wines to try.

  1. David-Girard’s Viognier-Roussanne from Placerville, California – a white blend of 67% Viognier and 33% Roussanne
  2. The Guardian by Yalumba from Eden Valley, Australia – a Shiraz-Viognier blend
  3. Yalumba Old Bush Vine Grenache from Barossa Valley, Australia
  4. Yalumba Patchwork Shiraz from Barossa Valley, Australia

#3 was my favorite.


We also had some extras to try.  Quara Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina was a nice surprise.


The dessert wine for the day was Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, a sweet fortified Muscat from France.


And finally, Jamie treated us with another wine from her travels.  Horton Vineyards Courage – a delicious port wine.  I love tawny ports and this one did not disappoint.
