This Saturday was a visit to the Pacific Northwest with the following wines:
- Disruption 2015 Chardonnay from Ancient Lakes, Washington
- Planet Oregon 2014 Pinot Noir from Carlton, Oregon
- Disruption 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley, Washington – a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11, % Petit Verdot, 4% Malbec, and 3% Merlot
- Disruption 2014 Red Wine from Columbia Valley, Washington – a red blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 40% Malbec
And with the upcoming holidays, St. Lorenz Christkindl Gluwein from Germany was also available for tasting.
The last offering, Pearmund Cellars Black Ops from Broad Run, Virginia, a secret red blend, was provided by Jamie.
The Gluwein has been a long time favorite of mine. It’s even better warmed.
However, Black Ops stole the show today. It was phenomenal!
