Stop number two on the Back Roads Wine Trail was Atwood Hill Winery.  Once again, while I had been here a number of times, this was Aary’s first visit.

The owners recognized me right away from my Band Mom days.  Atwood Hill was our oasis between band performances during a competition that was held nearby when my son was in high school.

We had lots of wines to choose from:

The Cabernet Sauvignon was tops on Aary’s list.  My old favorite, Ky Barrel Red, still retained its title.  Chambourcin and oak is hard to beat in my book.

It was another enjoyable visit to Atwood Hill.  We look forward to more revisits this summer.
