Time was of the essence when we stopped by for wine tasting. We had a jazz concert that our son was playing at to attend so we were unable to linger.
Among the offerings were:
- Talamonti 2011 Alternum from Abruzzo, Italy – Trebbiano
- Luna Beberide 2014 Godello from Castile and León, Spain – 100% Godello
- Grochau Cellars 2014 Commuter Cuvee from Willamette Valley, Oregon – Pinot Noir
- Chateau Teulon 2014 Costieres de Nimes from the southern Rhone Region of France – a red blend of Grenache and Syrah
#1 and #2 were whites from different grapes than we are used to seeing. Both were a nice change of pace. While Bushmaster expected I would prefer #4 to #3, I surprised him. #3 was my clear favorite of the day. There are some really nice wines that come out of the Pacific Northwest!
